As president of Circle 10 Council of the Boy Scouts of America in 2017, Joe Crafton saw an opportunity to dramatically improve the shooting sports complex at one of the BSA’s most popular camps located in Dallas Texas. Working with the Camp Wisdom staff, Joe designed a Five-Stand sporting clay course and upgraded rifle range to make it safer and more exciting. A Hunter Education building was added along with a sculpture of Joe’s father instructing a young Scout. The Gil Clements Shooting Complex was made possible by a donation from Joe in honor of his friend the late Bubba Wood and his friend Pat Clements in honor is her late husband.
