Oldest Country Club in the West

In 2016, Joe Crafton purchased the Dallas Hunting and Fishing Club from its shareholders. Incorporated in 1885, the DHFC is the oldest club of its kind west of the Mississippi River.  Its rich history included many prominent Dallas leaders and founding families.  However, in later years, the club suffered from insufficient investment and loving care.

In 2017, a team of expert architects, planners, and wildlife specialists were engaged to relaunch the club with an impressive list of sportsmen and their families. These fifty equity shareholder families enjoy fellowship and sporting activities, including hunting, fishing, target shooting, sporting clays, and nature watching. Located just fifteen minutes from Dallas, this private club has entertained thousands of guests who experience an appreciation of nature and responsible sportsmanship.
